The Boise Buccaneers, formerly known as the Idaho Buccaneers, has joined the PDFL for the 2010 season. The Buccaneers came into existence in May of 2009 and is a product of Platinum Events & Security.

After building over the summer of 2009, the Buccaneers took the few players on its roster and joined the Utah Indoor Football League. The Buccaneers used the UIFL - an eight man league as the exhibition season to future competition.
After learning and being accepted as the newest team of the PDFL, the Buccaneers ownership will revamp the philosophy of recreational football and has taken on the philosophy of the PDFL. This philosophy consists of being a part of a true developmental league system. The Buccaneers will be recruiting former players of Boise State University, Idaho State University, University of Idaho, Eastern Oregon University and former members of the Boise Burn to fill its roster.

As the PDFL reaches it’s goals of professionalism , the Buccaneers plan to go hand and hand with the PDFL and become Idaho’s next professional minor league football team!
